Our third Tournament for 2022
The Queens Platinum Jubilee Tournament
We hadn’t been to the Gold Coast for a few years so we were excited to travel south once again. It’s also the reason the 4 teams were named with the Gold Coast Theme
At the team draw meeting the Saturday before the tournament, the draw worked well with only one fill in required.
And then due to COVID 2 withdrawals came in before the tournament, resulting in FILL-IN players where players were missing!
Many thanks to ALL players who helped out fill the gaps!
The winning team : Meter Maids with 2526 points
Second : Budgie Smugglers 2467
Third : High Rollers 2446
Fourth : Lifesavers 2304
Well done to the Top scorers of the Tournament with 452 points out of maximum of 465 – Leandros Cruz with John Ursem and Tristan Rogers a close second on 443 points.
Technically Barrie did score the most however it was a multiple effort from several fill ins to arrive at this as Barrie unfortunately became ill and was not able to play.
A highlight was the game between the Ursems and the Wards as we had husbands and wives against each other 😊
