SKY Badminton Arena is an excellent venue for badminton – and VERY busy – we had to ‘squeeze’ our second tournament of 2021 into a 9hr timeslot between 10am and 7pm.
A capped entry of 44 players was spot-on for a ‘short’ one-day tournament. Play was continuous between 10am and 6:15pm (ish)
All players typically played 9 games including 1 cross-over game per session with plenty of close games. Games finishing 31pts v. 30pts are always exciting!
This “COVID SAFE” tournament was aptly named as SKY Badminton was our first tournament to be cancelled in 2020. Ricky made us very welcome on our return.
Just as sport mirrors the COVID news – it was prizes for The Pfizers with the AstraZenicas seeming to “clot” in fourth place!
